Oh Darren!!!!
You have had the best advice it is possible to find on this issue already, and it has been repeated numerous times. Although its not what you want to hear, the posters who have commented on this previously are some of the most knowledgeable and experianced loach keepers you will find anywhere - and they are giving you good, sound advice which at the end of the day is only for the benefit of you and your fish. Wether you choose to take that advice on board or not is up to you, but I don't think you will find anyone with anything further to add on this issue.

Er....... so why have a poll then?
Anyone passing may cast a vote, but it does'nt mean they know anything at all about the issues involved. This whole saga is getting beyond ignorance now - you have had many detailed and reasoned explainations as to exactly why the two types of fish are incompatable.

If it's african, no, don't do it.....and that means my vote was backwards

I'm going to lock this thread now. There is no point in letting it continue.
