
A few days before Christmas I decided to empty the tank that these were in and move them to the sid tank, as stated before it was initially just a short term plan but they were happy enough so ended up staying in this small tank for a longer period than was planned.
I caught the first adult but then had to start sifting through the gravel to find the other, at this point something small shot up out of the gravel and then dived straight back in, this happened several times so I slowly started to remove the gravel from the tank. It didn't take long for the other remaining adult to be caught and as I moved more gravel I found 2 young Acanthopsoides molobrion


I got a couple of pics (I did get more but was also getting into the festive spirit so what seemed in focus at the time was way off

As a reference for size you can see a white mark in the base of the tank before the anal fin of the juvenile which is just behind the pectoral fin of the adult.
