My wife and I have had a 125 gallon tank for over a year now which includes 2 clown loaches. The one has doubled in girth in the past couple weeks and we think she may be ready to spawn.
What should we do?
Thanks,
Gary

Hi Garrett, welcome to Loaches.
I am not sure if there is anything you really can do. Clown Loaches spawning in home aquariums are really rare, lets hope it happens for you! Do you know if the other is a male?

It sounds like the suspected female is definetly carrying eggs. However the unfortunate part is that the spawning trigger is pretty much non-existant in the home aquarium. I dont even think it has been documented in the wild, making it that much harder to predict what would work. Of course there is always the use of hormonal injection spawning.....
BTW, how big are they? Any pictures?
wasss uppp!
