Need help identifying this loach

Post by Jyynx » Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:01 pm

My little cousin works in a pet store and one of the customers traded in two of these little loaches. My cousin asked me to take them because the shop has no idea what they are and they aren't going to sell them.

I'm having the same issue... I think it may be Schistura obeini , but I'm not an expert. Any idea? I'd like to care for them properly, but I probably need to know what they are.

Thanks!

Hi Jyynx, there are numerous Nemacheilids (Brook loaches) that have a very similar appearance to your fish eg Nemacheilus fasciatus. Without knowing collection information we can not say for sure which species it is.
