Way to go on your beauties. I was also looking at that auction and deciding if I could get away with another aquarium for them. I'm glad you found them. It's nice to know that they are going to a good loach home. Please post pictures when you get them. If it wasn't me, I'm glad it was you.

I was trying not to think about it. I really shouldn't get another tank for a few months anyway. Hopefully he will still have some then. I should quit looking at that site -- I keep finding little jewels for the tanks.

I know, Kim......and I can't believe the deal and how healthy they seem to be. There are 2 little ones that I'm keeping a close eye on, but none of them are acting off. The biggest are not even an inch, but have nice tummies

He also tossed in 2 Rasboros (Porkchops? not harlequins) and a Blue eyed little thing that I am trying to identify. It's either a Tetra or a minnow??? Lots of yellow on the fins and forked tail.
I didn't realize it until I got there, but this is the same guy I got my Gold Kuhlis from
Anyway.....I'm in LOVE
I picked these guys up yesterday, and they have already made a change in my tank. The Kuhlis were out more this morning then I have seen them in a while. The Horsefaces seem to enjoy their company immensly, and don't even mind being sat on
It's so cute.....as soon as I put them in, they started schooling with the Rummynose. They move too fast to get a pic of that, but I'll keep trying.
So introducing the Sids (Botia sidthimunki)

Congratulations, mamaschild!

Beautiful little loaches.
Emma
p.s. The little blue-eyed 'mystery fish' sounds like a Forktail Rainbow (
Pseudomugil furcatus) from your description.

That's him/her

It's TINY. Only about 1/3" if that. I guess I need to look for more....Hubby has already told me how pretty he thinks it is

Wow. The Sids are nice, but the Mystery fish is something special indeed. Congrads!

the sids are sleek and lovely.
love the furcatus too, here's a link to a site I've been looking at. A friend of mine is having trouble with p. furcatus and I'm having alot of frustration with rhadinocentrus so I just happened to be looking into the two species. What timing...
