I just got three of these little guys, they are about alittle longer than an 1.5 inches. I was thinking about putting them in my 100g with all of my other loaches which range from clowns from 3-6.5 inches long to 3.5 inch histronicas. I was just wondering if the other loaches would think that the kuhli would be food for them? Or maybe i should just start a new tank for them? :D

Don't know if the other loaches will see them as food, but you have to consider that kuhliis want very low current, and a lot of other loaches want high current, like clowns. I'd get a small tank to house some kuhliis with low current.

Any time you mix fish of different sizes you run the risk of the big fish eating the little fish.
Most omnivores can handle prey that is about 1/4 their size, so a 1" fish is at risk from a 4" fish. Fish that are more predatory can often handle larger prey, up to about half their own length.

Kuhlie Loaches are extremely thin for their length, so I would indeed worry that they could be eaten by any fish that is even a little bit bigger. They are armed, so the predatory fish might be injured, too.

well that seals it then... A new project... setting up another tank but this (125g) was suppose to be for my tanganyika's. Or a 30g good enough? what else would be good with the kuhlies? Thank you
