Hiya guys,

I'd like some advice about the best foods to feedcmy group of juvenille yo-yo loaches to fatten them up.

At the moment their eating mini bloodworms, as they find "normal" bloodworms difficult to eat. They eat brine shrimp but I'm not keen on feeding this as it has a low nutritional value.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to good food types for them?

Any syggestions would be appreciated

Rotate foods.
Each food has something different to offer them as far as nutrients. Just because one food has a reputation for 'low nutritional quality' does not mean that it is worthless as a food.

I get my fish foods from www.AlmostNaturalTropicalFishFood.com

He had a hacker attack his web site and is trying to rebuild it. Here is how to get hold of him:
http://www.badmanstropicalfish.com/foru ... ic=23879.0

He is a good person to do business with, ships out foods really fast, and has a top of the line product list.
All his foods have whole fish and shellfish, and various algae and good things. No grains, no fillers... There are specialty foods with high salmon content, or earthworm flakes and several others.

You can also offer them lightly cooked vegetables. Since your Yoyos sound like they are small fish you should probably cook the vegetables a bit more than I would for adult fish. Not mushy to fall apart in the tank, but fairly soft.

Feeding them pellets that they can work over through the day (or night) is good, too. This way they have a more steady intake of food rather than a big meal then nothing.

Live plants can help, too. They harbor microscopic organisms that very young fish will eat.

I've got three foods I'd like to mention:

Sera Vipachips
Sera Vipachips
Sera Vipachips

Really, they are THAT good! Throw one in and watch the loaches (and all other fish) just pile on top of each other in a frenzy :D
