Botia "angelicus" was a kind of temporay name given to this fish. Generally, the term "angelicus" is given to many spotted fish.
However, once the species was properly described by Maurice Kottellat it became formerly named Botia kubotai.
If you are interested in reading the scientific paper, I have it in pdf form.
Martin.

Will have you read the articles? how did you get on? interesting, but theres a bit of a punch up going on there. we should get them on the off tpoic forum throwing stones at each other. we would need a referee. i can now see why names get changed around, and how hard it must be to classify some fish.
i didnt understand why one of the authors was so convinced clown loaches should remain as a botia. having seen Marge, i am sure they are something a bit different. (Will marge is a 12" clown loach, really huge, and wide too. She belongs to Emma on here. )
