Hello ,

my name is Maikel and I am new here. I have 5 Sewellia lineolata and 5 Pseudogastromyzon cheni. (in different tanks) And some other fishes too. :D
I was wondering if anyone has any eperience with hillstream loaches (the Gastromyzon, Beaufortia, Sewellia and others) and a waterfall. Will they climb up the waterfall? Anyone ever tried them in a paludarium?
I would be happy to receive some input regarding this. I want to create a waterfall for these fish, IF they like it.

Thanks in advance
Maikel (the netherlands)

And search the forum, because people have had their hillstreams climb the waterfall. There's pictures. I don't remember who posted it. But a lip around the tank kept the fish inside.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the replies and the links. I sure need to meet Wim, he has a nice setup there. But I don't want to build a paludarium. It's simply too big for my house.

The picture of the climbing Gastromyzon is awesome.

Thanks again.

A hill stream loach which finishes climbing the perpendicular wall on the surface of the water.

Sinogastromyzon puliensis.
The hill stream loach which inhabits Taiwan.
I kept various hill stream loachs so far.
Climbing ability is the best this fish by my experience.
