I bought a couple loaches yesterday called "Peppered Dojo Loaches". I can't figure out which species they belong to, because none of the pictures I've seen seem to be a close enough match.

Here is the first loach. It is mottled in coloration and is about 4" long.

The second loach is striped instead of mottled. I could only get one picture of it, because it it still extremely shy.

Any help is appreciated.

I'd say they were a Lepidocephalichthys species, probably L. guntea.

The L.guntea has a wide distribution area. Pakistan, northern India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Thailand. So i would agree with Emma.

That appears to be them. Thank you very much.

You should probably try and provide them with a soft sand substrate, as they do like to burrow. That gravel looks a little bit large and sharp for them long-term.
