New tank

Post by wishart » Tue Jul 24, 2012 8:20 pm

New to clown Loaches but I love them, currently have a 30 gallon with 7 clown loaches they are very very small at this point. Just received a 55 gallon tank which I ill be setting up very soon, I know I made a few mistakes with the 30 gallon and want to avoid any more mistakes.

Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated in setting new tank up and making the move from one tank to the other as stress free as possible for the fish.

thanks in advance

The 30 is a reasonable size to get them started, and medicate them as needed. A lot cheaper to medicate in a smaller tank, and probably easier to monitor them while they are in quarantine.
Nice that they will have a larger tank to move into!
You could set it up as a river tank, but it does not have to be the racing mountain stream that hillstream loaches need. Clown Loaches sure have fun playing in the water stream, though!
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
