For the past month or even 2 I've seen these two guys swimming all over a tank at a LFS. They never did put an ID tag on them, so I figured I would look it up myself. So now I'm wondering if I positively ID them. I'll try to get better pictures once they settle into my tank They're a little faded from transport but the pattern is still well visible

BTW since they did not know what they were, even after I told them what I thought I got them for $3.99 each, haven't ever seen them for sell before and was also wondering what the normal price is on them, if that's what they are.

Those are definately Yasuhikutakia (formerly botia) sidthimunki.
They are a very active schooling loach that are more active during the day than most botinae. They are one of my favorites.
Your price of $3.99 (US?) is a steal!!! They tend to run 2.5 to 3 times that.

Thats one thing I liked about them, always side by side and they tend to hang out mid level at the LFS, just wish they had more then 2

Currently they're in my 10 gal cherry shrimp tank, they haven't payed any attention to the shrimp yet really, but if baby shrimp start disappearing I may have to move them sooner then expected. I'm hoping they help with my snail population

Pond snails managed to get into the tank and multiplied into the hundreds!!

Good source of food for my clown loaches but dang there's too many!!

Nice looking fish, Ive currently got 10 that are now piling on the weight at an incredible rate. Great fish to watch, always on the go
