Hello

I have recently purchased a shoal of 5 juveniles of Yunnanilus cruciatus.

Now they have started hunting the other fish down. They are specially after the sids. In some ways the hunt are very reminding me of the behavior corydoras species have when they are spawning.

please have a look at these movies.

Do the Yannanilus cruciatus have "horns" like the clowns Image

maybe it's some sort of tetoriel fight but they are also after the minnows.

So please help do I have to remove the Yannailus cruiatus or what do you think. Is there any how have had problems like mine?

Many thanks
Michael

I haven't seen that behavior with y. cruciatus. Other loaches sometimes do that, called "shadowing". Other than annoying, it doesn't usually cause harm. I don't know if yannanilus have the eye (subocular) spines but it would surprise me to see them.
