Total fluke photo

Post by Mad Duff » Mon Sep 11, 2006 1:47 pm

I was trying to get a couple of photos of my Sidthimunki's yesterday and after about an hour of failing miserably I just held the camera next to the tank and pressed and took a series of pictures while aiming at nothing in particular, when I uploaded the photos and checked them I was shocked to find this total fluke of a picture :P

Nice, Mark. Thats the only way I've gotten sid pics too but I'm the worst photographer, always unfocused & usually something in the way. Been trying to get 1 of my tiny sid but he blends in too well on the dark substrate. That is a well proportioned fish, how big is he? My biggest is only ~1 SL , almost triangular in cross-section. I hope it's a egg-laden female otherwise   . (& yes she filled out even more after levamisole)

Nice.......

Bit of a polish....scare some fish away......

It's a great picture of a really nice fish. The flash flare is the only problem and not something that my editing program can deal with.

Martin.

Thank guys, that Sid is just under 1 1/2" there are 3 slightly bigger and fatter and then they gradually go down in size to Skinny Sid which is only around 1" and not so skinny anymore, he is filling out slowly and is regularly seen sat on the bogwood with a pot belly

The amount of flash was a disappointment Martin but to be honest if I had only got a partial head shot in focus I would have been happy after an hour of trying

Ooh....that's a difficult one. I have to go to the Post Office and pick up a parcel which is probably what i'm expecting from Emma. Drooling over the prospect of seeing my pics in print in a British magazine!

I'll see what I get around to on my return
