Gastromyzon vs. Sewellia

I had a few Sewellia for a few years and am wanting to get more of them or Gastromyzon for my hillstream tank. I want to know if there is any big differences between them. Sewellia seem to cost about twice as much, I'm wondering why? Anyone recommend one genus over the other?

i like them both. personally i'm a little more of a fan of the gastromyzons because they seem to have more species with more variety and colors, also i like prefer the body shape of gastromyzon.

It would be hard for me to pick one over the other. Sewellia are one of the easiest loaches to breed, are fairly outgoing. There are several species available now but S. lineolata seems to be, by far, the easiest to find. The other species are sometimes available online. I have three species.
The gastromyzons are a bit more out going and less skittish than sewellias as a rule and do come in more varieties. However, you never know which ones you will find. If you are lucky, one shipment will contain several species but that does not seem to happen as much as it used to. I have five species (possibly six) presently.
You can mix the two species if the tank is large enough and there are plenty of hiding places. Otherwise, the more dominant sewellias will out compete the generally more docile gastros. If they are close in size (young sewellia) the gastros can hold their own.

Thanks for the input! It will help me decide which to keep in my 20L.
