How bad do they dig? I have some that have ruined the substrate. I am a little paranoid they will dig near the larger rocks and make rocks fall on them or the other inhabitants. I have the larger rocks on egg crate but the ones on the side are not laying on the egg crate itself as they were placed on top of the sand. I am glad I do not have anymore rooted plants in the substrate as there are uneven piles of sand everywhere in the tank. Should I just look forward to having a messy tank for now on?

Thanks. The reason I ask is that the old pseudogastromyzon myersi, I had, did not dig this much. I guess it is time to fix some rocks next time.
