Once I reply to a private message and click the submit button, I notice it just sits in my outbox. Do I need to perform another step to actually send it, or will it send by itself? Is clicking the submit button actually sending it? Not that familiar with how the PM system works here.

You can think of the "Outbox" as a "Sent" folder. Your messages are just being saved for future reference, but are going out to the intended recipient also!

Actually, in this case it means that your message has been sent, but not opened by the receiver.
