A Little Birdie Told Me........

....that one of my Clown Loach drawings was being used on a UK online aquarium supplies website. So I wrote them this:

Dear Sirs,

I have been informed by a friend in England that you are using a drawing of a Clown Loach that was drawn by me.

I am very free with giving permission for people to use my photographic skills on their websites that help to further the hobby if I am asked nicely.

What I do object to is unauthorised useage of my photographs or my artwork for commercial purposes. This drawing was done for exclusive use on the Loaches Online website which must be where you acquired it from. http://www.loaches.com/

My articles, photographs and artwork have been published on the internet, and in print, sometimes translated into other languages, always with full credit given to me as source, and at no cost to the publisher beyond asking me in a decent fashion.

I allow this to further the hobby I love.

I strongly object when I discover unauthorised use and would be grateful if you could please remove my drawing from your website forthwith.

Martin Thoene.

So we'll see what response I receive to that

Those who know me know I have a very long fuse, but some things shorten it dramatically.

Martin.

Tweet tweet! I don't mind! They shouldn't be helping themselves, should they?
