Hi Guys
it seems my SD treatment has worked.
I had 2 clowns and 1 Histy/kubotai that were skinny.
I dosed prazi pro (2x) with biaxin and amoxicillan for two weeks.
I could see no stressed fish from the prazi dosing unlike levamisole
which made them hide all day in the dark under plants.
My tanks are high light 3-4 wpg so maybe levamisole causes light sensitivty like tetracyclin does in humans?

They seem to be filling out now. I will keep them in my QT tank for two more weeks to monitor their recovery.
As an added bonus my m/f pair of praecox which are fulltime residents on my qt tank spawned sometime during the treament. I was only able to find one fry who is now in a breeding trap being fed liquifry No1 food:)

It is recommended that you leave the lights off when treating with levamisole. I've heard that it breaks down in light, but it may also be true that it does increase light sensitivity. In any case there are issues involving light with it's use.

Momfish would know more about the light issues with levamisole, I think...

Thanks shari It feels good to have my observations confirmed.
Unfortunately turning out my lights is not an option as it is a heavily planted tank with the plants being my main bio filter and a heavy fish load.
Hopefully momfish will pipe in.
Cheers
Erik
