Clown pics.

Post by ey » Sun Oct 22, 2006 5:33 am

Hi everyone,

I finally got around to taking some pics of the fish (loaches in particular), enjoy.

For anyone interested, could you please comment on whether the clowns and other fish appear healthy or if there are any noticeable issues? Note that in some pics, there appears to be some white spots on the clowns but these are just bubbles and certainly not ich!

How big of a tank is that? Keep an eye on those C. pandas. They dont seem to do well with bigger fish and they can get sick very easily. They seem to be one on the more delicate corydoras species.

You have some nice looking fish.

Thanks Barracuda518. The tank is 360L. I've had the pandas in there for a while now and they seem to do fine despite the presence of the clowns and yoyos. I'll keep an eye out on them and if anything happens, I'll move them to the cory tank.

its not really 31.6 in there is it? That's kinda hot... that's like almost 87Ferenheit... A few of those fish can actually die at that temperature for too long a time.

Other than that nothing looks sick or anything 8)

looks like you have some really nice loaches there ( seen too many ugly loaches recently). I love clowns. None of them are greying out at all, and they are all active which is probably due to the high temperature ( if that was the correct temp on the tank). I keep my loaches at a minimum of 80 degrees. The warmer it is the more they seem to like it, provided there is adequate aeration I guess. As for the other fish, i couldn't comment on how this temp may affect them ( Emma would be the one for that). Clearly they are not dead and have obviously been at that temp for some time, so if an accident with temp was going to happen then I am sure it would have happened by now. When I swim in the Carribean it can be 90 degrees in the water, so I should imagine that Clowns are used to these elevated temps and probably thrive in their home in Sumatra/Borneo. And it looks like they are getting plenty of oxygen in there. By the way, great pictures.
All weeks run up to Friday - but how quickly can you sprint from Monday.
