Actually these pictures are of 3 species. The first striped one is this undescribed species.....
To my mind though it fits the description of
Gastromyzon ridens.
The spotty fish is
Gastromyzon ctenocephalus...
The other stripey fish appears similar to this other undescribed species.....
......but I think it may be yet another.
As you can see, all these
Gastromyzon species are large mouthed, with big heads, and quite wide bodied. Pseudogastromyzon species have more elongate bodies and a smaller mouth, such as
Pseudogastromyzon cheni.....
....which funnily enough, might just be
Pseudogastromyzon myersi. The ID's on these species are all pretty sketchy and have apparently been confused. We are awaiting clarification.
