Would snails grown from eggs in an aquarium be a safe loach food?

The easiest ones if you can smash the shells yourself and then pick up the waste is MTS they grow big fast and plentiful (malaysian trumpet)
the most nutritious according to my info is the pond snail or 'turbo snail' with the think mottled simple shell
then theres ramshorn but they provide little meat for their size and you dont get much meat versus MTS.
The reason I say smash the MTS shell is that MTS can really sneak to the back of their shell and some loaches cant get em they also burrow- a smashed snail isnt goin anywhere

A smashed snail isn't as fun tho, want them to work for their food

I have both MTS and Tadpole snails in my tanks and the loaches love them, it is actually quite amusing watching a 2" Striata or Sidthimunki trying to carry round a 1" MTS and eat it, it takes them a while but they eventually manage it

If one managed to get under something you will have more. If not...then the yoyos got 'em.

A few months from now wake up in the middle of the night, use a flashlight to view you tank, and tell us what you see.
I have sids and kubotai in my 80 gal with a ton of MTS. At night they rise from their graves like the living dead!!!

I've put all mine into a seperate tank to the loaches, hoping to build up a healthy supply of breaders so I've got a neverending supply of food, had one jelly thing of eggs hacth yesterday and not have 1mm specs crawling on the glass

MTS don't lay eggs, they're livebearers (and hermaphrodites) which is why you'll never run out of 'em

Sad but true
You can 'run out of em' real fast with copper or acryflavin though
