recently a shop that i go to has started importing fish from india,
on the last shipment he was sent a couple of loaches, triangularis and N barapenensis, my mate who's pretty well up on loaches has no idea wether the barapenensis is a valid fish.
there is a pic of them on this link, pier aquatics.co.uk
if you go into my fish page three it's the ninth pic down.

so the question really is this a valid fish?

cheers

Your wish is my command! N. barapaniensis

first one a line drawing from the original description, second one a preserved specimen.

the pic on pier don't do the fish justice, the outer rays of the caudal are either red or yellow, most of the fish in the tank are about 5-5.5cm SL.
next time andy and i go there i'll get some,
just wanted the opinion of the loach boys and girls.

cheers
