That's what Botia kubotai do every time I try to photograph them.
I put the 4 remaining Czech-bred "histrionica" into the 6 foot tank with the Clowns, kubotai and the lone re-homed dario the day before yesterday.
Their lively behaviour brought the kubotai out and I thought I would try and get some pics as it's been ages since I took any of them. Their markings have changed nicely.

Here's one of the rapidly growing Czech guys who are looking more histrionica-like as they grow.

Here's Curly-Q with two kubotai

In the background you can see the two 90 degree bend, 4"ID plumbing fittings, joined into an S-shape. That's the Clowns main cramming house.
Now every time I go to press the shutter, the nicely posed kubotai would turn away........

Here, I pressed the shutter too soon.

Image

This one is probably the most in-focus.....so flexible these guys.

Image

Eegads! actually caught one.....but it's off-focus

Image

Curly-Q (around 1.5") and a kubotai.....These guys aren't that big, even after 3 years or so.

Image

And a parting shot.....off a kubotai.......departing.

 Martin.

Nice pics Martin, it must be a Kubotai thing because my original Kubotai did exactly the same thing it gets a little annoying after you have taken 20 photos and only got the back of the Kubotai in every shot :x

 Great bendy shots! 8) How are the Czech fish getting on with the others today? Not causing too much havoc I hope!

You know Emma? I've not seen one speck of the behaviour that angelfish83 was describing. They're being very model citizens, shoaling with the kubotai and the dario..........sometimes the Tiger Barbs too!

Also, in this big tank they're far less manic in behaviour than they were in the small Q-tank. They're much calmer.

Great images, Martin. I love watching these twisting and turning around the tank. Blurry eyes after watching them for a while.
