Thanks Em. I just registered with E-bay and sent this message to the seller:

That's a nice looking Clown Loach. I should know, I took the photograph. Why are you using a photograph without my permission? The fact that you have the cheek to include one with my name on it is no excuse.
Are you not misleading potential purchasers? This is not a photo of one of the actual fish for sale and therefore represents a possible attempt at selling specimens of lesser quality.
Please remove this photo immedeately before I report you to E-bay and go and steal someone else's if you can't take your own of the real fish.
Furthermore, for the information of potential purchasers Clown Loaches are not "easy" to keep and in fact somewhat sensitive fish that require substantial amounts of room and meticulous maintenance of their aquaria.

Martin Thoene, Toronto, Canada.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Nice one, Martin!
Some people have got such a cheek. The fact that they are also giving out misleading information in regards to their upkeep is disgusting.

Martin.
telling people to steal? is that not illegal? :P

well a picture isn't a big deal next to this:

orriginal: http://aquavisie.retry.org/Database/database.html

copycat: http://www.aquafarmhoutepen.nl/Content/ ... %20(3).htm

he stole the whole freaking site! only did not use the ugly background... and most of the pictures he also used (also one of mine and a couple of friends and even one of the old loaches site...)

I notice the second link is down now, Mark. Maybe justice prevailed.

I really don't appreciate how these ebay sellers like to call fish 'items'.
Picture thieves  You know, you wouldn't get away with taking somebody elses photo and using it as your own on lavalife
Glad you gave him a verbal whipping. "Very easy" to take care of.
PFFT! I wouldn't go NEAR clown loaches with a 40 foot pole, not until I'd at least gotten a few years down with loaches first.
Definitely not an 'easy' fish. Ebay can be so seedy sometimes!

I'm almost certain that picture is not from here. In the past few weeks of doing the site updates I've looked at so many pictures that I now have this database in my head. If I've seen a picture before, I'll know in a heartbeat.

However, although the picture is not one from here, my internal recognition systems tell me that the photo might be from the same source as this:

Image

Note quality of the photo, colour of fish and similar gravel.

This picture has been on LOL for some time, but without a credit, so I don't know the source.

Martin.
