Clown Loach
Clown Loach
Clown Loach, Botia macracantha, is less sensitive to light as many other members of its genus and, with its orange and black striped body coloration and red-accented fins, the Clown Loach is a beautiful addition to the freshwater community aquarium. One of the most beautiful scavengers available, this Sumatran native grows to a typical size in the home aquarium of approximately 5 inches. Growing to nearly a foot in the wild, the Clown Loach is an active aquarium member who likes well-aerated water and temperatures at 76 degrees or below. Live Brine and frozen preparations will help the overall health and coloration of this aquarium classic.
Approximate arrival size for Clown Loach: Small: 1.5-2"; Medium: 2.25-3.25"; Large: 3.5-4.25"
