Fantastic! Great to see immature sids.

i like your pic of the two tiny yoyos under the SAE..they are so cute!!

also, since you live in thailand, do loaches live in local streams? or what kinda fish do?

One of the Sids in the second picture actually looks more like a Y. Nigrolineata

I was pondering on that also, Mark. Some of them remind me of my juvenile Y Nigrolineata many years ago. They seem to hold a Gold/brownish colour on them.

My thoughts too. I'd like to see closer photos of those. I have seen teeny tiny sids before though that look remarkably like nigrolineata, but then slightly larger ones in the same tank are more clearly sids.

Martin.

Martin, Graeme and Duff,

The adults in the same tank at the shop were very Sid. These juvies do look a little different. The brown tinge seems to come out in the photos, but when I look at them, they are clear with black markings and a white underbelly.

It is possible that they got two types mixed up in the same tank at the shop, but I doubt that. I reckon they were all scooped out of the river/stream/canal/whatever at the same time. Anyway, I will have to wait a while for them to grow to find out.

I will try to get some more pictures later.
