Chenis spawned again!

This morning I noticed that my cheni pair was in pre-spawn mode before I turned the lights on. A few months ago, they were spawning regularly, but they haven't done so lately. They did take a break to eat breakfast, but spawned sometime in the afternoon while I was away. They always seem to lay the eggs up against the glass which is cool to watch.
I have noticed that in this tank, the chenis seem to have trouble digging in the gravel. I think the gravel size is just a bit larger than they prefer.
Each piece of gravel is about 1cm with a few smaller ones mixed in.
So, today, I scooped out an area of gravel avoiding the area holding the eggs, and replaced it with the same color gravel with pieces half the size. Hopefully, future spawnings will be easier for this pair.

I think I'm just going to have to break down and buy a new camera. The one I have needs the software upgraded and it doesn't do the job I would like. Doesn't that sound like a good excuse to buy a new one? I will probably have to hold off though for a bit. My car needs new tires and it only takes expensive (V-rated) ones.
