We just put five new 1.5" clowns in the Q-tank and are amazed at how much they can eat in fifteen minutes. Several people have refered to them as being piggy, but dog-gone they are like little sharks. Amazing!!

They are little pigs, aren't they?

Mine always go to the top of the tank when I come around. They know where the bloodworms come from.
Always the first at the food, always the last digging around for it.
They fit right in with the bunch in my tank!

Yeah, my naughty clowns do their loachy dance at almost all hours nowadays since they have the "man-thing" (my BF) trained to feed them.... They just eat and eat, especially the little clowns I acquire. The small one I have now (named him Fafnir) was a little fatty when I first got him. I thought his little belly was going to burst!
Oh yeah. What kind of prawns can I use to feed clowns? I'm intrigued. I used to feed my massive oscar (when I had him) petersburg shrimp, but I don't think that's sold around here. Also, when I lived in Alaska, I would give my Schisteras the trout eggs when I went trout fishing, and sometimes small bits of wild caught (by my family) king salmon eggs. They LOVED those eggs to BITS. They'd turn into savage beasts, literally, as soon as those eggs hit the water! Holy cow! I never saw my loaches get that vicious, tearing up the food, as those Schisteras did with the eggs.
