Hurt/sick fish, what medications??

I don't know how many people saw my post on my weather loach and the tight fit he got himself into, but he's now got a white ring around him where he rubbed the slime coat off. What should I get to treat this with? He's not acting out of the ordinary anymore- he was initially quite shocked in the aftermath, but he's now back to his old self.
Any suggestions on what to do for his booboo?
Also, on another note: Tanooki's barbels, remember how I mentioned one of them was starting to curve a bit, like the ones on CurlyQ?
I treated with PimaFix for a week and did a water change- it says if there's a repeat offense, do it again. Well yesterday- and this only happened yesterday evening, I inspect them all carefully on a daily basis- his barbels were curled back by his mouth, and little bits of white surrounded the base of them. I assume this is a fungus? Anyway, I begun the pimafix again- after one dose, and 10 minutes, the barbels were straightened out again, no white to be seen. (I know this doesn't mean he's cured, by a long shot, but I found this so odd) what on earth do you suppose is going on with Tanooki's barbels? IS it a fungus? And what does everyone suggest I treat poor Tanooki with? I used Pimafix because it's what I have on me- bad or good choice? He's really agitated by it.
When I put in the medication, he keeps swimming quickly, and moving his mouth very quickly, like it hurts. After about 5-10 minutes of this, he stops, his barbels no longer have a curved appearance or white traces, and he starts roaming over the decor, like everything is perfectly fine.
But by the next day, a barbel has started to curl a little bit. I've only seen both of them curled once, and that was yesterday. I've also never seen these white traces until yesterday. I feel very bad for him, it's obviously bothering him- what can I do to bring him quicker or permanent relief?
Or is the pimafix dependable?
Remember: In THIS tank, there are clowns and kuhlis. Whatever is suggested, it needs to be easy on 'scaleless' fish- unless someone thinks Tanooki should be put in a Q-tank.
