Crown Roach

Post by YellowFinned » Sat Jan 13, 2007 9:45 am

I have noticed at the market lately, there are more and more Yoyos and Kubotais, and the price is coming own for both. But good old clowns are becoming less frequent.

So I found a shop with a tank labeled ‘Crown’ and got half a dozen.

ha, you try catching a clown in a river.....it's hard enough catching one in a tank.

although i have fond memories of just scooping up little unidentified fish out of puddles in vietnam. It definitely wasn't a loach.

Because they do not come from Thailand, they come from Indonesia – some parts.

Even if I want local loaches, I have still got to pay the boy with the fishing net, though they might be considerably cheaper.

And if I want the rare species, I could drive out a couple of days in a four wheel drive to find a quiet mountain stream, stay in hotels, hire boats and local fishermen with knowledge … now that will cost some. As Mister Green says, even then, they would be hard to catch.
