Dominant male Sewellia lineolata

Post by Emma Turner » Thu Jan 18, 2007 5:46 pm

I know this is only one photograph, but I was so pleased with this shot (taken earlier this evening) that I wanted to share it. This is my dominant male S. lineolata shown grazing on the manifold intake sponges:

Image

I take quite a lot of pics of him sat on the sponges, but none have ever come out as in-focus and showing so much detail of tubercles and 'fences'.

Hope you like it!

That's about like my biggest male. They are very impressive looking at that size. I imagine that the spotties at 3" are even more so.

Absolutely! 8) I'll keep trying for a photo of the giant one against a ruler, but he's very reclusive. :?

Wow stunning photograph Emma. Makes me want to just buy thousands of these guys and put them in a 10,000 gallon river tank....ok maybe thats a little extreme but you get the idea ;)

Wow, you should be. A one in a 100 shot to say the least.
