I lost Sneakers,but I'm not done with sinibotia yet...

I lost my S longiventralis to an unidentified ailment. He was acting odd and swimming very strangely,andhad red sores on his fins. All the other fish seem fine. So, I'm wondering...does anyone know where I can get a couple of these or another species of sinibotia? I really loved him, and i really want another(or preferably 3).However, this was the only one weve ever seen, and we visit ALOT of pet stores. I cant find anywhere that sells them online either. Does anyone know a place in C.T. that carries them, or a website that sells them, or anyone that is selling theirs?I'm looking for any species, not just longiventralis.

Update on my search:I might have found something,but not sure...Found a loach listed as Green Tiger Botia Botia Helodes, but I've never heard of it, and the photo looks similar in pattern and shape to a sinibotia... heres the photo: https://www.darmalisdragonfish.com/imag ... 83535.jpeg

I read it,but It did not say speciffically that the fish I have are good tankmates...The only fish I would be worried about would be the flagfish,but he hangs out pretty close to the top. It also didn't say whether or not they like to grab shrimp pellets and get chased all over the tank by other fish that want them(like my longiventralis)

Hi there. Sinibotia robusta, formerly known as Botia robusta unfortunately do not bear any resemblance in behavior to S. longiventralis. I kept both of these species several years back. S. robusta is much more assertive and active, even during daylight hours and prefers to be kept in groups of 4.

They can nip the fins of slow moving fish or fish with elongated extensions on their fins.

It is terribly difficult to help someone out that asks about where they can get certain fish if one does not know where they are. I note you have asked about Sinibotia in the thread about Emma and Steve's shop. That's in England.

It's very useful for others to know your country. If you're in the US or Canada, the State or Province is a big help. It's a very big World.

Dang, Are they really that hard to find? I'm looking for any species, an online store that sells them and ships, or someone looking to sell or trade theirs. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I bought a Robusta at Aquatic Wildlife in Manchester, CT a while back. They thought he was a yoyo, and he was the only one I saw. Probably came in with a shipment of yoyos somehow.

You could call and ask if they have any interesting loaches... I've seen a lot of very sickly looking clowns there before however, so if you get any loaches from there I would probably treat for skinny disease before introducing them to a primary tank.
