in this months PFK, on p54, Jeremy Gay suggests these for a 2 foot tank:

3 platy
2 honey gouramy
5 glowlight danio
3 threadfin rainbows
2 dwarf chain loach

or for an african tank:

6 cardinal tetra
5 midget sucker catfish
2 apistogramma
6 dwarf pencilfish
6 corydoras similis

also look out for:

lemon tetra
rummynose tetra
black neon tetra
marble hatchetfish
cherry barb
danios
wood catfish
steel blue killifish
guppy
neolamprologus brevis
forktial blue eye
pygmy pufferfish
hillstream loach gastromyzon punctulatus

oh, and its good to have 2 polka dots in a 3 foot, too, he says

I've only really flicked through it, but did you also notice yet another totally unsuitable fish on Interesting Imports - why even think about featuring something that grows to over 2 metres (6ft 6") long?

A certain person's advice on adult clown loach behaviour on 'Ask the Experts' isn't quite accurate either.

This is the sole reason why I stopped reading PFK, the amount of incorrect information printed is terrible. It shouldnt be to much to ask for so called experts to give correct information

i sometimes read some articles on the website (i live in canada) and they are regularely WAY OFF on the max size of fish, and the groups they need to live happily..it angers me..

"lets go buy some 2" clowns, then keep two in a 10 gallon tank!!! don't worry, they are only 2" long!!"

Also the Neolamprologus are a Lake Tanganyika shell dweller.
