Beautiful pics! I love the breaks in the pattern on the
B. rostrata.

Now we need Hels to get a good pic of her 'weirdy'
B. striata for comparison to yours.

Very interesting. I wonder what causes them to have different markings like that.

Could it be a hybrid loach?

I suppose there is an outside chance that it could be or it could be caused by a slight genetic hiccup, in most breeding programs of any fish there will be abnormalities either because of in-breeding, over intensive breeding or purely down to genetics. Either way its going to be a lovely fish when it grows and it should really stand out from the rest of the shoal and I am looking for more

Ok, Ok, im trying, but my talent just doesnt match up to yours. Mark i think i had better meet you at the loach section armed with one of those huge foam beaty-uppy sticks they used to have on gladiators.
i liked the orange finnage on pics 2 and 3. very pretty

Nice fish and photo's Mad Duff.
The rostrata and almorhae ones: have you got any of them when each of the fish were younger, and older? The reason I ask is that it will assist in the article I'm doing on the names of these loaches.
Thanks
