I hear many ways to determine males and females, however i'm not sure which ones are true or false.I hear females are plumper?I'm not sure. what is the correct way?

hello, welcome to LOL!! :P

if you look at the Clown Loach Profile, you can see all their requirements..

how large is the tank that you have them in? or are you just thinking of getting them?
clown loaches need a large tank with high flow, excellent filtration, lots of hiding spots and plenty of large waterchanges..

when fully grown (12"+) they need a tank that is 6 feet long or longer...
