New Loaches Online Species Profile Search Facility

Post by Martin Thoene » Tue Feb 06, 2007 11:28 am

In answer to requests and the thread from a short while back, I have just made available the new pictorial species search facility that I've been working on for quite a few days now on and off.
There's a new Species Index front page so that a user can choose the original full alphabetically arranged species list, or opt to use the pictorial method if they don't know the name of a species and can only go on appearance.

Go give it a try!

http://www.loaches.com/species-index

The pictorial part is a long way from complete because organizing the Nemacheline loaches is going to take time because of the sheer number of species. There's a lot of other species already findable though.

Martin.

Pardon my honesty - I am a Northerner

This must have been quite some work...

... makes the search very efficient - best I´have seen.

...make sure some sweet "dudes" scetches are copyright protected, otherwise you find them starring in leading trickfilms.

You should market it as stuffed animal - I´d buy some. Imagine - a stuffed animal series "loaches". Or a TV show, like sesame street with fish-muppets (shrimp, snails, mussels...) .. it would sell...

... this one is my favorite

Yes, that's rather good, Martin. I like that you threw in a couple of "red herring loaches."
Your vantage point determines what you can see.
