Going price in US for Sumo Loaches?

I just picked up a half dozen Sumo Loaches for $3.99 US each at my LFS (well, local to my job in Melbourne, Florida) - just curious if that is cheap (which I think it is!), or about average?

i would say thats cheap
our local guy has them for 10bucks each
