Young with old Yo-Yo's

Post by quilaho » Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:17 pm

I have 3 Yo-Yo's and would like to add 2 or 3 more. The LFS only has small ones (about 1 inch) while mine are a good 3.5 to 4 inches. I know Yo-yo's will define a pecking order so I am a bit concerned about the larger ones severely beating up on the smaller ones.

Is anyone experienced with this? Will it be ok or is there some technique I can employ to minimize the abuse while they grow some?

I have added smaller clowns (1" and a bit) to a tank with 7" clowns and there was no 'aggression' to speak of.

I'd think that yoyos would be similar in reaction to smaller individuals being introduced. The gang together, the younger ones hang with the older, and get out of the way when they think they need to.
books. gotta love em!

As long as the tank is quite spacious and you have lots and lots of hiding places/visual barriers in there, adding some new smaller specimens should be fine.

I've had no problems adding smaller clowns or marbles with larger ones.

Thanks, everyone. I will need to build up more rock for hiding but that was part of the plan.

I'll get my QT tank ready, then.
