thats REALLY cool, does he do that often?

I love the tank, why do you have the level down low like tha?, I have a tank with a low level like that, I keep african butterfly fish in it, it works great

if it didn't require a full tank re-design for me I might steal your bamboo pipe outlet idea :)

... steal it  it´s not mine, I just found that clip in the net, on a German Loach-site www.Schmerlen.de (schmerlen = loaches)

sorry for confusion... I personally am very greedy with water, no give aways...

Cheers

Thats cool, I was just hoping for more ideas for fish that work well with the almost-filled look. I want to try hatchetfish so I can see them jump, but I'm pretty sure the butterflyfish would eat them :) Cories are cool too, I can't imagine how loud it must be if you have a close fitting glass top :)

... I use DIY acryl-glass tops, with the lights in them but eclectronic o/s, plants grow around the lamps or behind, that allows a view from the top (more or less). The front part of the top-box and the first 3rd, folds away like the hatchback of a wagon- that gives nice open feeling when watching for a longer time - nice music - glass of wine...
