Well.....Mississauga anyway. I was in Dragon Aquaria and they had a bunch mixed in with Beaufortia kweichowensis.

Its encouraging to finally see them in your area, so maybe some healthy ones will show up eventually. Fingers are crossed.
I wonder if this species isn't a bit more disease prone during shipment than other hillstreams. If you remember, an infected wui (sounds painful ) was the source of that nasty infection I had in my original river tank a few years back. We have also had other reports of unhealthy wui on this board.
But, if you do get healthy fish, they do live fairly long. I have two now that are at least five years old and going strong.

Yeah, there seems to be few unhealthy specimens around lately. One of my original five also pasted away. Nice to actually see these wideboyz now available though.

Pasted away? You have them doing decorating?

Having heard about these problems before, I was pleased to actually find the ones I ordered on a German wholesalers list. I left it a couple of weeks before ordering (although there was a risk they could sell out) and, fingers crossed, all are currently fine. Getting these sort of loaches from wholesalers (rather than direct) tends to be very successful. The wholesaler will not sell them on until the fish are rested and assured that all are ok to send out to their clients.
