The Ph in my tank is consistently around 7.6. I have looked at a few loaches that say they need a Ph of 7.0. Do you think the difference in mine would be too high? If so, are there any methods of lowering it that do not involve chemicals that change it so quickly?

Filtering over peat moss can gradually, safely lower PH, as can adding CO2 but with a difference that small most fish can adjust.

Same pH as my local tapwater.....which my Clowns do very well in and have for years. You don't want to let it get any higher though.

My hardness is real high also so I might get some distilled water to mix in. You guys think that would be a good idea? Kinda kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
