Someone sent me about 20 mts and 20 rams horns
they've been in a quarantine for a week now.
The tank they came from was a snail and plant only tank with no fish in it, but I wasn't too sure of whether a quarantine time was still necessary.
How long would you keep them before adding to your tank with your loaches? The rams are babies, most not even the size of my pinky nail, so I only wanted to put in about half of them and leave the others for breeding.

If you add MTS, you will have MTS forever. Your loaches might keep them in check, but will never get rid of them. They are not necessarily bad, and will aerate your substrate. But when you look at your tank at night you will see them, and when you open your filter, they will be in there.
Think twice before adding MTS.

I have about 3-4 inches of sand over 80% of my tank floor, the rear portion is about two inches gravel with 2 inches sand on top.
I don't mind having MTS forever unless they're big waste producers and are going to lessen the amount of fish I can have.
I only have 20 MTS for my 75 gal and probably wont even put all of them in, I'm just wondering how long Is hould quarantine them for chance of illness
