Today, I took some time to try to photograph my clowns. I now have a greater appreciation for the crystal clear images that are often posted on this site.




This is my largest clown greying out for the camera. Show Off!!!

I too have great difficulty getting any crystal clear photos, I think I need to hire someone from here to do them for me.....

The clowns were especially entertaining today. Once there were two sparring on the left side of the tank, while another two were at it on the right side. Who needs TV?

after trying to photograph my fish i was wondering what can i do to make my photos look any where near this. My pictures always look really bad any ideas your look great btw.

I'm still learning myself. In fact, I've been wandering around this forum tonight trying to get tips for clearer photos.
A few things I remembered reading a while ago that helped me get these photos was to hold the camera at an angle to the glass to cut down on the glare and to use the digital-macro setting.

I want crystal clear photos.....maybe a tripod will help.

thanks for the tips i'll try that and if that doesnt work i guess i'll have to just take the class teaching me how to use my camera.

I drip water, too, during water changes. My tank glass is really smudged up often from kiddie fingers. Although my children know better than to tap on the glass, they sure like to touch it. Oh well, the fish don't mind!

I hope I got the quoting right-oh well. I spill water on the glass too, but you can ignore it. When I take a picture, its like there is a spotlight on them.

My thermometer is the clip-on kind and it sucks water out of the tank and drips it down the outside of the glass. I wipe the glass every few weeks but within 2-3 days, the strip of glass below the thermometer is opaque again .

I forgot to mention-who is that in the lower right-hand corner of the first pic? The thing with the spots?

lol, it that what it is? i see one of my larger ones doing that pose right when he comes out of the hiding spot.

That thing in the lower right corner is a blue gourami. He has three buddies of his kind in the tank with him. They are soon to be re-homed; a friend of mine will be taking them.
