Magic Mesonoemacheilus

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered in some Mesonoemacheilus triangularis, and it wasn't until yesterday - the first time I'd had a good look into their tank since the shipment - that most are actually M. guentheri. 8) 8) 8)

I didn't have too much time to spend on photos yesterday, and these chaps are very shy, dashing for cover when people come near, but these are the best shots I got:

I'll be trying for some more pics over the next week or so. There are loads of different patterns to capture on camera. 8)

My favorite lfs has some of these. They certainly are an attractive species.

Thank you's. :D They are a really pretty fish, but a little fiesty like their cousins the triangularis.

That's it I am moving back to England. I cannot find interesting fish like that here.

Aw, I'm sorry AnneMarie! :? :wink: Keep an eye out for shipments of Zodiac loaches (M. triangularis) as these M. guentheri have been known to come in as 'contaminants' of these chaps in the past. It's just the first time it's happened with mine. Both are very pretty loaches, and M. triangularis have been successfully bred in captivity too. 8)
