Once again, they're still not very good... but it was worth a shot.

That's Fornax, the alpha clown. He's 10-11 years old.

The Histrionica and the Kuhli.

Fornax and Orion, Fornax with the Hikari algae disc playing keep-away from Orion.

Fornax with his disc again.

Shot of the Histrionica dn the smallest clown, Fafnir.

That's it for now until I can get better shots (and clean out the tank... yes, the glass is dirty).

Very nice, Icewall42. :D I bet Fornax could give my Stripes a run for his money!

Wooo how cute!
I wonder if I can find anybody that sells large clown loaches, not those less than 4 inches that you normally find at mega marts.

Thanks! I wish I had a better shot of Fafnir, he's very bright and pretty (and shiny!) I just changed 30% of the water and scrubbed the walls a bit, so they should be quite comfortable now :)

The modestas were shy, as well, though you can see one modesta's eye in the picture by Fafnir.

How big is Stripes, Emma?

I sometimes see larger clowns at the lfs, just a few of them, presumably returns from customers not knowing how big they would get. You might also find folks on various forums that need to re-home them.

Icewall, those are some good size loaches. Are they the ones that traveled with you from Alaska?

Yeah, they are pretty big! And yes, all these loaches except for Fafnir (the little clown) and one of the skunk loaches traveled by airplane carry-on all the way from Alaska. I'm still amazed the big guys made it after 15 hours in bags in a suitcase.

Stripes is between 10.5 and 11" TL. From your pics and the markings Fornax has, I had thought he was a little bit larger than you've said he is.
