hello, i would love to get a loach for my tank as they are really good looking and interesting fish but i would like to get one which would happily control my snail population as well
any help would be great as i do not want to go and buy a fish which would be too big for my little 60l tank

Seems a reasonable question. If addressed, what are the threads?

The search option at the top of the pages is a very helpful tool. 8)

Here's one thread:

On another note, a 60L tank (15 gallons) is really too small for loaches...and most botia type (which are the best snail eaters) are social and do best in groups of 5 or more.
What else is in your tank?

And welcome to LOL

That's about 45gallons (sorry, US here)?

Still too small for clowns, perhaps B. striata:

y. sidthimunki is about 2 inches and is the smallest of the botine-shaped loaches IIRC.
