P. Cheni update

Post by Mad Duff » Sun Apr 15, 2007 1:51 pm

I thought I would take a couple of photos of the P. Cheni now that they have been settled in for a couple of weeks, they have really filled out and are very active and look right at home in their tank :D

Very nice!!
It will be interesting to see how the sewellia and chenis interact. Maybe the spawning activity of the chenis will induce the sewellia to spawn, or vice versa.

Excellent! 8) What do the loaches make of it? Is it just another place to graze for them?

The Cheni pretty much just use it to graze on but some time ago I had quite a bad outbreak of whitespot in my Clown tank and all the Clowns were pretty badly affected, for a week or so they didn't look happy and meds didn't seem to be working so I put in two large pieces of Quartz crystal that had been cleansed and instantly the Clowns gathered round it and started rubbing themselves on it. Within a week they were back to normal and the whitespot was gone, it may well have been a coincidence but I haven't had a problem in any tank since.

I didn't have any in the cheni tank to start off with but when I did put it in they reacted differently to it compared to other rocks etc that have been put in the tank :?
