Aquiring new tank for Yo-Yos, could I add a couple more?

Hello, I bought 3 yo-yos almost a year ago for my 20H planted to rid it off snails. They are still rather small (1", 1.5" 2"), but I think they've outgrown my tank. I will be receiving a new 30G tank for free soon and I'm probably going to put my yo-yos in there. Dimensions are 36L x 16H x 12W, it's an older tank and you don't seem to see this long of 30gallon tanks in stores anymore.

I plan to put the yo-yos in there as the focus with a small school of dither fish. I know a bigger tank would probably be better, but this is what I got to work with. Would it be advisable to add 2 more yo-yos to bring the count to 5 or should I stick with the 3? Thanks!

hello, i have the same aquarium same dimensions, it was built in 1987 8)
anyway, i would always suggest five loaches over three, though i only have three kubotai in mine... but that is because i also have several other fish... so if the yo yo's are going to be the only fish in your 30 then you could probably have more, considering the tank size i'd say four but wait for someone elses opinion as im not an expert yet 8)

Any other opinions? Might just do yo-yos only as well.

For a 3' tank, I'd stick with the three myself. They are very active, energetic fish and too many in a small space may lead to aggression.
