Walked into one of the local Pet Stores and one of the Fish guys hollered, its the Loach Guy and was pretty excited. He had gotten in about 40 hilstreams. I was hoping they were my favorities, but no luck, but I'm getting closer.

Here's a link to the album with the bad pictures, and there was also a contaminant in the striatas he got, which I think is a zodiac loach. He has pink on his mouth and I'm waiting for him to destress to take some more pics.

Here's a link to the album on putfile.

There's about 40 more in there and if they hadn't wanted $4.99 each, I would have bought a few more.

Cheers,

Kevin

That's something I bet a lot of us have experienced. When the fish clerks know you are the loach guy or gal, you know you have a problem! It happened to me!

Nice kind of reputation to go with.

I think exactly the opposite applies to me. If my lfs gets some or even sees some nice loaches or L number Loriicardae on their list, they ring me at home & bet on how long it will take me to get my ### on down there...lol.

I'm glad you warned us about the picture quality Kevin! It's hard to give an accurate identification but they do look similar to some Erromyzon sinensis or Vanmanenia sp's.

Notice the lower lobe on the hillstream's tail fin. Its all black.
That would indicate Homaloptera zollingeri.
Take a good look at it before you put it into your tank. You probably won't get a good look at it for quite some time. They tend to be VERY shy.

The loner has colored up and I'm pretty sure that he is a Nemacheilus Masyai. I wish I could get a couple more of these guys...

Haha everyone greets me as the "Loach guy" in the shops around here. Good times!
